The holesaw will cut through the panel, but the edge of the hole will need to be deburred. A high speed rotary tool like a Dremel with a sanding drum bit is ideal for this. By sanding from the back (unpainted) side, there’s less risk of marring the paint on the panel if the bit jumps. Once the cut is deburred, sand it or use steel wool to get the edge perfectly smooth and safe to touch.
